Mexborough First councillors met with DMBC officers yesterday in Schofield Street park to look at ways to improve the park and play area. This was following a site meeting with some local residents on Wednesday.
An initial approach has been agreed (Phase 1) to improve part of the play area and provide a swing for local children to enjoy.
We are looking forward to meeting with local residents in September (who are looking to form a ‘Friends of Schofield Street Park’ group) and working in partnership with them, DMBC and police officers to improve this part of Mexborough for the local community to enjoy.
