Thanks to Mexborough Residents for Bridleway Maintenance

Huge thanks to Karen, Kelly and Mandy & John Bailey for cutting back all of the nettles, brambles etc on the bridleway between Eden Terrace and Adwick Road yesterday!
Cllr Gibbons did raise this community issue with Doncaster Council Public Rights Of Way (PROW) team earlier this week and received this response on 14th Aug –
“The path was cut back on the 30/5/24 and should be cut again 12 weeks later. The wet weather at the start of the year has severely delayed us by about 5 weeks. We are going as fast as we can and I will ask that this path gets cut first when we are in the area. The hot weather at the moment should speed things up. Fingers crossed”.
Job now done thank to these fantastic volunteer efforts!
Now dog walkers and families heading to Adwick Road Park will now be able to walk down the bridleway safely without getting nettled etc.
Please note as a reminder that Adwick Road Play Area will be closed tomorrow for much needed resurfacing works!
Thanks again to Karen, Kelly, Mandy & John for their efforts yesterday!
