Cllr Gibbons has received a number of complaints from concerned local residents & businesses re the missing bollard at the top of Hope Street leading to Mexborough High Street.
This was initially reported over four weeks ago to Doncaster Council and a new bollard had to be ordered.
This has been chased and chased with CDC as nuisance drivers continually breach the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) where the pedestrian area should be in place between 10am-4pm.
Following further complaints, Cllr Gibbons escalated the concerning matter to the Director responsible.
Pleased to confirm that the new bollard is currently with the contractor and should be installed very soon to alleviate these ongoing community issues and improve community safety.
