Huge pleasure 2 support Mexborough Ferryboat Association on another clean-up!
Cllrs Pickering and Gibbons supported another fantastic volunteer session today with Mexborough Ferryboat Association and Mexborough Action Team (MAT) down on the Ferryboat Slipway and canal/riverside.
The Ferryboat Slipway area is really taking shape now and you can see the line of the ferryboat landing now that many of the trees and bushes have been cut-back by Canal & River Trust contractors earlier this week!
20 bags of litter/rubbish shifted today and we tackled the area near the iron bridge as you approach the railway crossing over to Old Denaby.

Huge thanks to Tracey Gibbons Daniel Goddard Stephen Hamilton Pamela Chambers Matt Brettell for volunteering their time today. Also to Becca from the Canal & River Trust for coming down to price/measure up for the raised beds soon to be installed.
